Will Yates is a multimedia expert and director of Media and Communication at Family Circle Productions Inc. in Detroit, MI. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Communication at Rochester College as well as a featured lecturer in the S.O.A.R. program at Macomb Community College.
From February of 2013, through March of 2015, Yates served as senior videographer and graphic designer for Macomb Community College’s marketing department. His responsibilities included creating marketing materials, designing print and digital advertising, conducting marketing research, writing public service announcements, writing and producing radio and television commercials and developing brand messages for various departmental units at the college. Under his leadership Macomb received two gold and two silver 2015 Educational Advertising Awards, an Emmy nomination as well as a silver award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, in the best student recruitment video category.
Yates holds a Bachelor of Science in mass communication from Rochester College and a Master of Science in communication and public relations from Lasell College. While attending Lasell, he was a freelance feature writer for the Oakland Press and a media consultant for the Michigan Opera Theatre.
Outside of his professional and academic achievements, Yates is a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and an avid philanthropist who spends time creating awareness and raising funds for various educational and charitable organizations. He also likes to spend time keeping up with current events, cooking, watching movies and traveling with his wife Tamara.

One of the most recent highlights of Yates' career was designing materials for Aretha Franklin's memorial celebrations including the funeral program, signage, banners and handout that were distributed at various locations.
